The ideal candidate is a self-motivated professional who is happiest being involved in all aspects of building a world-class platform: from designing adaptable data models to writing highly-scalable application code to building fast and responsive user interfaces.
You should be proactive and organized, love creating great products, experienced in building applications that can support millions of users, and are borderline neurotic about code quality and employing the best software development practices.
Experience working on content management systems or digital video platform is highly valued.

Launched in 2013, First Look Media (FLM) is a new-model media company providing a platform to share stories and experiences through the varying lens’ of fearless investigative journalism and documentary filmmaking to arts, culture, media and entertainment.
First Look goes to market today via its existing properties: The Intercept and https://reported.ly. Over the coming year, the company will lift the curtain on its next wave of evolutionary growth via a new family of media platforms under an as-yet-to-be disclosed brand. Content will cover a wide spectrum, including arts & culture, media & entertainment, and critical perspectives on news and current events. As impact for audiences is at our core, First Look will produce content for all screens and platforms. This will include the web and digital, online video, TV, feature films, episodic programming, audio storytelling/podcasts, long-form journalism, as well as foundational technologies helping creators and audiences develop, distribute, discover and connect with meaningful stories.
