We’re looking for an Email Builder Full Stack Tech Lead to own and scale one of our most critical customer-facing platforms. This role sits at the intersection of product, design, and engineering, leading the architecture and evolution of a highly scalable Email Template Builder that powers tens of millions of emails every day. You’ll guide technical direction, mentor engineers, and build resilient, high-performance systems that help customers create beautiful, on-brand email experiences with confidence.
Responsibilities

    • Lead the design, architecture, and delivery of core Email Builder sub-modules from concept to production.
    • Build and scale a highly reliable Email Template Builder platform supporting ~30 million emails per day.
    • Own sprint planning, estimation, prioritization, and execution for assigned modules.
    • Drive system scalability, performance, security, and reliability using sound architectural principles and modern development practices.
    • Provide technical leadership through high-quality code reviews, mentoring, and hands-on guidance for engineers.
    • Collaborate closely with Product, Design, QA, DevOps, and other engineering teams to deliver cohesive solutions.
    • Act as the primary point of contact for owned modules, coordinating design discussions, releases, and post-launch improvements.
    • Design and maintain reusable, themeable, and extensible UI components for email and template workflows.
    • Scale and optimize shared sub-modules such as countdown timers, Brand Board, and cross-platform branding tools.
    • Monitor production systems, troubleshoot complex cloud-hosted issues, and lead root-cause analysis and remediation.
    • Drive data-backed engineering decisions by defining metrics, dashboards, and feature attribution.
    • Take end-to-end ownership of features post-release, including monitoring, debugging, and iterative enhancements to improve user experience.
    • Continuously identify bottlenecks and propose long-term, scalable improvements across frontend and backend systems.
Requirements

    • 6+ years of experience in a full-stack engineering role, with demonstrated technical leadership or tech lead experience.
    • Strong proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, Nodejs, Vue.js, and NestJS.
    • Solid experience building and scaling high-traffic, customer-facing web applications.
    • Deep understanding of system design, scalable architectures, and design patterns.
    • Experience designing, building, and maintaining distributed systems with high availability and reliability.
    • Hands-on experience with MongoDB, including schema design and query optimization; familiarity with Firestore and ClickHouse is a plus.
    • Practical experience with caching, performance optimization, and latency reduction using tools such as Redis and CDN strategies.
    • Experience working with message queues and event-driven systems (Pub/Sub, Kafka, RabbitMQ, or equivalents).
    • Strong frontend fundamentals, including HTML5, CSS3, component architecture, and frontend performance optimization.
    • Experience troubleshooting and debugging complex cloud-hosted environments using logs, metrics, and monitoring tools.
    • Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools such as Grafana, Sentry, or similar platforms.
    • Ability to collaborate effectively in a remote, cross-functional environment with Product, Design, QA, and DevOps teams.
    • Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate technical decisions and trade-offs clearly.
    • Product-minded engineer with a keen eye for UX, design systems, and user flows.
    • Ownership mindset with the ability to take features end-to-end, from design through post-release maintenance.
    • Comfortable working as a generalist across frontend, backend, and supporting systems to solve complex problems.
    • Empathy for users and teammates, with a passion for building high-quality, delightful experiences.
    • ••Nice-to-have: Experience with email rendering standards, MJML, email client quirks, and AI/LLM integrations.
Preferred Experience

    • Experience with AI Tools and contributions to open-source tools, internal platforms or engineering blogs
