Bamboo Auctions (https://www.bambooauctions.com) is looking for a hands on Node. Js developer to join the team. Version 1 of the website is complete and we have launched with support from PiLabs (backed by Spire Ventures and Cushman & Wakefield) (https://www.pilabs.co.uk) and we’re starting to onboard customers. We are based in the WeWork campus on the Southbank.

In England and Wales, just 3-4% of properties are sold by auction. In Australia, it is 30-40%!
1 in 3 buyers in England and Wales are cash buyers. An auction method is very well suited to these buyers.
Auction.com, which operates in the USA, Germany and Spain has sold $26bn worth of properties since 2007!
The Role
You will be generally responsible for ongoing back office IT operations and development and you will have the opportunity to build and nurture a strong technology team in the future. More specifically you role will include:
Implementing the existing website into the market
Acting as a helpdesk/troubleshooter in relation to the website
Delivering agreed technology projects
Being responsible and accountable for all technology aspects of the business.
Liasing with customers and stakeholders in relation to tech matters (as and when appropriate).
To be considered you will require:
Experience with a range of stacks but must include Node. JS and MongoDB
Computer science or related degree preferred although this requirement may be offset by experience. Recent graduates welcome.
Strong communication and collaborative skills and a passion and enthusiasm for the aims of the business.
Ability to work well in a team
Knowledge of the property purchase process (both conventional and auction process) preferred although not essential.
Salary and compensation
$28,000 — $50,000/year
