This role would function as the team lead for the services team which will include directly leading engineers dedicated to improving the product suites for the clients. The customers are highly technical so it will require high end technical acumen and skills. This person will be working closely with Product Management to scope and estimate new features and additions to the platform, partnering with technical architects and Product to define solutions. You would also work closely with the Agile team day to day, so you should be able to help contribute as both a player and a coach in classic lead fashion. This is all SaaS and is a well known product written in a mix of TypeScript/JavaScript so it requires expert level JavaScript skills.

Responsibilities

You will be working closely with the Product team and helping contribute to the overall team output, completing technical tasks as necessary to unblock team members as well as creating technical design artifacts to help define and scope product solutions. You will be helping lead an Agile team, including daily-stand ups, estimation, backlog grooming, sprint retrospectives.

Requirements

• 1+ years experience directly managing a technical team
• 6+ years of overall development experience
• Ability to lead in application architecture, particularly in Nodejs based applications
• Ability to develop other individual’s skills and professional careers
• Knowing when to unblock any technical hurdles by writing code, and when to lead through pairing and teaching others
• Strong familiarity with most/all of our toolset (React, GraphQL, TypeScript, Node, Express, PostgreSQL, Redis, Sass, AWS, CircleCI)
• A desire to succeed personally through the success of the team
• Can supervise work priorities and direction
