Lead our backend engineering team in building reliable, secure, and scalable infrastructure at Eventable. As a rapidly growing internet service, we work with some of the most exciting technologies to deliver millions of experiences daily. You’ll get the chance to develop on top of our patent-pending smart events engine and constantly push the boundaries with what’s possible inside calendars. As an early employee you will be working with a variety of technologies across the stack and be directly influencing product direction.

Responsibilities:

• develop and maintain core backend applications (Django / MongoDB)
• manage storage of large datasets and optimize database structure for efficient queries
• quickly gain understanding of existing infrastructure and pinpoint areas for improvement
• communicate technical needs and challenges effectively to the rest of the team

Qualifications:

• mastery of Python and Django
• experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB preferred)
• working knowledge of Amazon EC2
• understanding of agile product development
