We are seeking a skilled technician to provide mechanical/electronic production support and operator training for our Laser products. Responsibilities include managing projects from post-sale to installation to ongoing customer service support. We are looking for a technician to provide exceptional customer support at customer’s sites in North America.
Primary Duties
- Support customers in North America as part of the customer support team
- Install and demonstrate various laser cutting and marking systems machines.
- Train customer personnel in operation of equipment.
- Troubleshoot software, electronic and mechanical equipment issues.
- Assist in creation and maintenance of machine operation procedures, work instructions, detailed drawings, and visual aids.
- Collaborate with other company and vendor personnel to assure customer specifications and goals are met.
- Adhere to company procedures/quality standards and ensure compliance to customer specifications.
- May be assigned other duties to assure the effective operations of the department or organization.
Qualifications
- High School or Technical School education focusing on Electronic, Electrical or Manufacturing.
- 3+ years of mechanical & electric/electronic troubleshooting & service experience.
- Experience with lasers, robotics, automation, or mechatronic systems considered advantageous.
- Able to read mechanical, pneumatic and electric drawings.
- Trouble shooting experience via PLC is required.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and have good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to read and interpret production work instructions, routers, and specifications.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from operators, engineers, and supervisors.
- Advanced computer proficiency with MS Office products (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Outlook), Adobe products, Salesforce CRM, Team Viewer, and graphic file manipulation.
$75,000 – $80,000 a year
