  • SALARY: $120,000 – $147,000/yr

THE OPPORTUNITY

Requirements

  • Experience in playing a leading role within a Project Management Office (PMO) in a corporate, technical environment.

  • Experience with MS Project Web App, MS Project Professional, Power BI, Power Query, Excel, and tools for data processing is required.

  • Experience of SharePoint administration and configuration preferred.

  • Experience managing projects with complex engineering content including Software, Hardware, and Mechanical disciplines.

  • Experience of interfacing with technical and business clients.

  • Good presentation skills.

  • Demonstrates ability to lead a team.

  • Ability to assess business needs and provide a perspective on departmental goals and objectives based on priority / impact.

  • Demonstrates ability to function effectively in a matrixed organization.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and respond appropriately to change.

  • Ability to interact effectively with clients to advance program outcomes.

Description

The Manager, Program Management Office – Engineering will lead the Project Management Office and team, assuring that Program Management complies with the policies and procedures defined to provide project delivery on time and to budget. This position is responsible for project delivery, processes and maintaining a world class level of project management skills and personnel. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manages the Program Management Office and team members program/project management including communications, financials, scopes of work, timeline, risk analysis, governance structure, and conflict resolution.

  • Ensures Program Management team adherence to PMO guidelines and process

  • Collects and communicates project data to deliver defined business KPIs.

  • Works with the Engineering leadership to establish process strategy.

  • Implements PMO processes to meet business needs.

  • Updates and maintains PMO tools to generate required data for the Engineering group and Senior Management.

  • Builds team in support of succession planning for critical roles. Develops and evaluates staff to ensure exceptional service and program delivery.

  • Maintains strong business relationships and drives growth through strategic program governance.

  • Leads a team of professionals managing high quality, integrated cross-functional project plans to meet the expectations of customers and internal business stakeholders.

  • Coordinates project management methodology with the needs of internal business partners in engineering, quality, operations, supply chain, sales, and customer service.

  • Leads a program management team to drive customer and business centric approach to program delivery.

  • Ensures processes and tools for program support are aligned with harmonized processes and managed consistently across the network.
