We are currently looking for a KYC Analyst.

The main purpose of this role is to provide administrative and analytical support to the Compliance Team, ensuring KYC reviews are prioritized and completed on time, and that all required information is added to each case file according to documented procedures. The successful candidate will review KYC documentation, evaluate applicants’ risk profiles, and be comfortable communicating professionally with clients to gather KYC information. The role also includes assisting with internal projects related to regulatory readiness and examinations, operational development, training, and research.

Over time, the candidate is expected to strengthen their AML knowledge and be cross-trained in investigative and analytical skills to provide analytical support for investigations using blockchain analytical tools.

The candidate will maintain and grow strong professional relationships and networks with industry peers to learn and share best practices, as well as investigative and analytical methods.

In carrying out the role, the candidate will continuously develop their skills, including understanding blockchain technology, virtual currencies, suspicious activity in the space, criminals’ methods, and best investigative practices to help reduce the risk of money laundering, terrorist financing, or sanctions violations on behalf of Tether, and to support the company’s strong regulatory compliance.

Requirements

In addition to the preferred skill set listed below, the candidate must be able to work independently with minimal supervision (seeking guidance when needed), be flexible with work arrangements and hours, and be confident in making decisions delegated by the Compliance Manager / CCO.

– Secondary education (university or college preferred)
– Experience in an analytical or investigative role
– Experience using name-screening software such as World-Check
– Experience using case management software to perform customer due diligence and enhanced due diligence
– Intermediate AML experience, including customer and enhanced due diligence (CDD/EDD) and AML/CTF/sanctions investigations
– Intermediate knowledge of blockchain technology (developed further in the role)
– CBP designation (preferred)
– ACAMS designation (preferred)
– Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
– Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including creating pivot tables)
– Demonstrated critical-thinking skills (decision-making)
– Strong attention to detail
– Organizational understanding (developed further in the role)
– Experience assessing corporate documents for onboarding due diligence purposes
– Blockchain analytical tools such as Chainalysis, Elliptic, or CipherTrace are an advantage
