Scylla Kubernetes Operator is a k8s component that enables Scylla cluster deployment and provides automatic backup, upgrades, repairs, performance optimization, security hardening. We are on a mission to port our cluster management tools to k8s, and finetune Scylla performance while running in Kubernetes.

You will:

Take responsibility from start to end as a developer for new features Take initiative and propose new ideas for improvements Research inner workings of Kuberentes, benchmark and evaluate Scylla performance in k8s environments Help clients with issues running Scylla in k8s environments

Requirements:

At least 5 years experience as a developer in the hi-tech industry Experience of at least 1 year development using Go Developer-level experience with the Linux operating system Fluent kubernetes user Fluent English speaker

Advantages:

Experience with implementing Kubernetes Operators Experience in one or more distributed NoSQL databases (Scylla, Cassandra, DataStax Enterprise, Amazon DynamoDB, Cosmos DB, Google Cloud Bigtable, MongoDB, Couchbase, Aerospike, etc.) Prior experience in Database Administration (DBA) or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) Experience in Open Source development Familiarity with database performance monitoring (Grafana/Prometheus), testing (Jepsen), and/or troubleshooting/debugging (Wireshark)
