Scheduled to open in early summer 2026, Blue Bottle Coffee will be launching a new café near Kamakura Station.
Although close to the lively streets of Kamakura, the café will offer a calm, relaxing atmosphere.

As a Blue Bottle Coffee barista, you’ll provide warm hospitality, focus on developing your coffee skills and knowledge, and help create better experiences for both the team and our guests.

Depending on the selection process and operational needs, you may be asked to train or work at a nearby café.
Until the new location opens, you will work at an existing store within commuting distance.
Final placement will be decided by the company.

Main responsibilities:
• Serve delicious coffee while offering hospitality tailored to each guest
• Maintain cleanliness and support smooth café operations
• Work with team leaders to improve café operations and environment
• Share ideas with leaders and teammates to help enhance the café
• Understand business goals and support the leadership team
• Take on certain café operational tasks based on team needs and your growth opportunities
• Follow operational guidelines and support new company initiatives

Who we’re looking for:
• Someone who cares deeply about great coffee and food, and feels motivated by offering excellent hospitality
• Someone who communicates openly and positively in all situations and values teamwork
• Someone eager to improve their skills and knowledge every day

Barista experience (beginners welcome):
• Previous barista experience does not affect hiring decisions
• What matters most is passion for coffee, food, and offering great guest experiences, along with dedication to training and learning
• We value those who show care for guests, teammates, and their surroundings, and who communicate well
• Coffee training will be provided after joining, with strong support afterward
• We especially welcome those who resonate with our hospitality values and want to grow with the team

Location and other details:
• Employment type: 30-hour weekly contract (3-month trial period), with the possibility of full-time promotion
• Hourly wage: 1,300 yen
• Location: Near Kamakura Station

Working conditions:
• Shift-based schedule
• Able to work long-term (1 year or more)
• Able to work 5 days a week, including both weekdays and weekends/holidays
• Able to work 6-hour shifts
• During busy periods, shifts may exceed 6 hours (but remain under 40 hours per week)
