We are looking for a highly experienced Squad Leader to join our team in Brazil, working on an international project. In this role, you will be responsible for leading a cross-functional development team with a high level of autonomy, acting as a key decision-maker and main point of contact for stakeholders across the EU, UK, and Brazil. Y ou must have advanced/fluent English communication skills, as you will be expected to lead discussions, influence decisions, and collaborate directly with international clients and leadership teams on a daily basis.

Main responsibilities

  • Lead a cross-functional development team with full ownership of delivery, team dynamics, and outcomes;
  • Act as the primary interface between the team and international stakeholders, ensuring clear alignment on priorities, expectations, and results;
  • Drive team autonomy, accountability, and continuous improvement, fostering a high-performance environment;
  • Facilitate and challenge product and technical decisions, ensuring alignment with business goals and long-term strategy;
  • Proactively identify risks, dependencies, and bottlenecks, and act decisively to mitigate them;
  • Own and drive agile practices, ensuring they are applied effectively and adapted when necessary to maximize team performance;
  • Analyze delivery and performance metrics, transforming insights into actionable improvement plans;
  • Support conflict resolution, navigating complex interpersonal and organizational challenges with maturity and objectivity;
  • Ensure clear communication at all levels, from technical discussions to executive-level reporting.

Requirements

  • Solid experience leading software development teams in complex and dynamic environments;
  • Strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and delivery processes;
  • Proven ability to operate with autonomy, make decisions, and influence stakeholders;
  • Advanced or fluent English, with confidence to lead meetings and discussions with international clients;
  • Extensive experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and their practical application in real-world scenarios;
  • Experience working closely with product stakeholders, including backlog management, prioritization, and roadmap alignment;
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to adapt messaging to different audiences;
  • Experience managing risks, dependencies, and delivery commitments in an international context;
  • Analytical mindset, with experience using metrics to drive team and delivery improvements.
