At CI&T, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Java Backend Developer to join our team in Colombia. You will contribute to an innovative project in a collaborative, innovative, transforming, and multicultural environment.

As a Senior Java Backend Developer, you will lead the design and development of a scalable cloud-based solution, employing Java, Spring Boot, and both SQL and NoSQL databases. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will ensure high-quality deliverables aligned with client expectations, all while being part of a team that thrives on collaboration, innovation, and transformation.

Key Responsibilities:

– Develop, test, and deploy software applications using Java, Spring, SQL (PostgreSQL), NoSQL.

– Maintain and improve application performance, scalability, and reliability.

– Create new features and enhance existing functionalities.

– Conduct testing to ensure software quality and performance.

– Share knowledge and mentor junior developers, fostering a culture of learning and growth.

Must-have Skills:

– Experience or interest in Kubernetes (K8s) and container orchestration.

– Familiarity with Crunchy Data or managing PostgreSQL in Kubernetes environments.

– Exposure to Redpanda or Kafka for data streaming and event-driven architectures.

– Proficiency in Java, with frameworks such as Spring and tools like JPA and JUnit.

– Understanding of cloud platforms, especially Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

– Experience working with both SQL and NoSQL databases.

– Ability to communicate effectively in English (advanced level preferred)
