Hello, we are a growing software services firm looking for self-motivated Javascript developers who can work from home 4 days a week and spend 1 day a week on-site in Gaithersburg, MD. Our client is leading the development effort of a web-based data visualization tool for the Intelligence Community. The existing system is a high-powered, fat-client application that crunches massive amounts of geospatial imagery for analysts. The customer wants to migrate all of this functionality into a web application, and has given our client 6 months to build a functional prototype. At the end of this 6 month prototype effort, the government is expected to award a 4 to 5 year contract to release the prototype enterprise wide.

The development team is led by an experienced software engineer who is passionate about new technologies – a rare personality trait in the federal sector. If you want to join a team that will define the vision and technical roadmap of an IC customer for years to come, this is the place for you.

The ideal candidate has experience with D3 and other modern front-end frameworks (jQuery, AngularJS, Backbone, Bootstrap, etc), and some backend experience (Java, Spring, Hibernate).

This position is only open to US citizens who are eligible for a security clearance. Payment options are 1099 or hourly W2 at rates between $55 per hour to $75 per hour depending on experience and qualifications.
