Yumpingo is afood intelligence business that provides deep insights to restaurants based on real-time reviews from diners, collected through our devices at the end of the meal. We already have a fleet of devices being used by consumers right now in some of the most well known branded restaurants in London, including Jamie’s Italian and Wahaca.Yumpingo is based in central London within a sociable, friendly and dynamic working environment.

About you

Yourchallenge is to develop the platform to support a fast growing business. Your role will be to join a team of fivedevelopers to enable Yumpingo to support thousands of restaurants by the end of next year, internationally. That means developing systems that scale and broadening the product set to fulfil a diverse range of customer needs with a range of new API integrations and self service tools.

You will be working on both server and client sides. YourAPIswillcollect and process data from diners and third-partiesto generate insights for restaurants. On the front end you’ll be building browser and native apps thathelp restaurants develop their menus, manage their operations and engage with their guests.

You’ll be working across our full product set and throughout the product lifecycle – from ideation, to new features, testing, deployment and bug fixes.

You’ll be part of a growing team and will be able to make the difference. You will have the chance to learn new technologies, so you should have the willingness to learn new skills and extend your knowledge further.

We’re looking for someone technically astute that’s able to communicate with other team members and execs in the business. The opportunity is to shape and build a product used by millions of diners around the world, and help restaurants serve more food people love.

Skills and requirements

You must have at least 3-5 years experience with Nodejs, MongoDB, MySQL, Angular (we use Angular 4+, not Angular.js) and Github. We use a lot of Typescript and you’ll get some exposure to native Android development.

We need to know that you can build back end solutions that will scale, that you’re thorough with your testing, and that you can style front end as well as write logic for components.

If you’ve worked with AWS products it would be a bonus, but it’s not a deal breaker.
