Paperpile is a modern web application to manage and write academic papers. We are a small, distributed team in the US and Austria. Our user-base is growing and so is the team around it.

We use JavaScript across all our service: The main web-app, Chrome extension, Google Docs and Microsoft Word plugins, server-side scripts, and our upcoming React Native based mobile apps.

You will take responsibility for substantial parts of our codebase and ship new features and new products.

You have experience with modern JavaScript and have a deep understanding of web technologies (HTML5, CSS3, REST APIs, JQuery,)

You are familiar with some of the technologies and tools we use: MongoDB, Firebase, Nodejs, ExtJS, Backbone, Bootstrap, SASS, Grunt, Git.

More useful experience (optional):

• Mobile app development (native or hybrid)
• ReactJS/React Native
• Google APIs and services (Google Drive, Google AppScript)
