Position Summary:

We are looking for a Hadoop System Engineer to design, implement and maintain a large data solution for our health care project needs using Amazon’s cloud.

Responsibilities:

• Work with project team to design Hadoop database to support large health care data sets

• Develop capacity planning and analysis for Hadoop infrastructures/clusters

• Implement solution using Amazon’s cloud environment

• Provide metrics and data modelling support

• Support an atmosphere of cross-functional teamwork within the organizations agile project lifecycle

• Participates in product roadmap discussions and identify key areas for improvements in the product, and incorporate these goals into ongoing & future development initiatives

• Recommends solutions by defining physical structure and functional capabilities, database security, data back-up, and recovery specifications
