About the Job
TheBack-EndSoftware Engineer will serve as part of a development team supporting both established projects and creating from the ground up. The ideal candidate is an experienced leader and team player that is passionate about technology and committed to lifelong learning, possessing the ability to apply their technical knowledge, skills, and experience to solve complex/real-world problems.

We use several different technologies in our development stack across multiple clients and projects. We continuously evaluate new technologies to make sure we are fully aware and always using the right tool for the job. Examples of the technologies we currently use include:
Java, JPA, Dropwizard, JBoss, RESTful APIs
Nodejs

Jenkins, Maven, Stash, Git

AWS EC2, ELB, ASG

Responsibilities:
Solving complex problems with elegant and maintainable solutions
Delivering back-end and tooling solutions using modern Java frameworks
Developing and bringing operational processes in line with current best practices
Debugging and supporting production applications
Working with the team to continuously improve processes across all areas of the software project
Participating in an agile / scrum software delivery team
Qualifications
A strong foundation in computer science, algorithms, data structures and design patterns
5+ years development experience
3+ years AWS operations experience
Creating and improving an AWS infrastructure to support a growing system
Highly motivated and accountable with enterprising instincts, and a strong ownership mentality
Top-notch troubleshooting skills and diagnostic intuition to solve challenging problems
Thrives working individually and with talented teams, always seeking to achieve superior results
Demonstrable versatility in multiple back-end technologies
Understands and embraces the value of automated software deployment and release automation
Deep experience in building web services and backend web platforms
