Hi, I’m Natalie Dusome, Founder and CEO of Poppy & Peonies.
At Poppy & Peonies, we’re a fun, high-energy brand that believes style and function should always go together. We’re focused on creating practical products that make everyday life easier and feel lighter—literally.
Starting Poppy & Peonies has been an incredible journey. It began when my daughter Poppy was born, and I realized my accessories no longer worked for my new life as a mom. I wanted bags with pockets and smart organization that looked great—but also delivered real functionality. When I couldn’t find what I needed, I decided to make it myself. That’s how Poppy & Peonies began in 2015.
Since then, we’ve grown from packing orders in my basement to appearing on Dragons’ Den, and now expanding into new product categories while collaborating with exciting influencers and brands. It hasn’t always been easy, but because of our amazing community, we’ve never felt more appreciated and supported.
We take our responsibility to the environment seriously and are committed to protecting the planet and the animals that live on it. That’s why all of our bags are made with high-quality vegan leather, and our entire product line is vegan, cruelty-free, and approved by PETA. We ship plastic-free and use a mix of recycled, compostable, and biodegradable materials to help reduce shipping waste. We’re always looking for ways to make our products and supply chain more sustainable and lower our carbon footprint.
As our Inventory Planner, you will own forecasting, planning, and inventory strategy to ensure our most-loved products are available when customers want them. You’ll work closely with leadership to forecast demand, anticipate growth, and create inventory strategies that support both product launches and viral moments across multiple sales channels.
As Poppy & Peonies continues to grow across North America—including strong expansion in the U.S., new warehouse locations, and new channels like TikTok Shop—your work will be essential to making sure we have the right products, in the right quantities, in the right places and on the right platforms.
A major focus of this role is market-specific inventory planning, especially across Canada and the U.S., ensuring that inventory strategies reflect regional demand, customer behavior, and channel performance.
This role is a great fit if you enjoy turning data into strategy and thrive in a fast-growing consumer brand where demand can shift quickly.
Does this sound like you?
– Are you passionate about demand planning and forecasting?
– Do you enjoy building models that help businesses grow with confidence?
– Do you work well in environments where data, strategy, and operations come together?
If you answered yes to all three, we’d love to hear from you!
The Opportunity:
– Take ownership of demand forecasting and inventory planning for all products, markets, and sales channels.
– Develop and implement market-specific inventory strategies, with an emphasis on U.S. allocation to support ongoing growth and expansion.
– Build and maintain forecasting models using historical sales, seasonal trends, and marketing insights.
– Plan and allocate inventory across multiple warehouses and regions to improve availability, delivery timelines, and cost efficiency.
– Partner with marketing, growth, and social teams to anticipate demand surges from campaigns, influencers, and viral trends—especially on emerging channels like TikTok Shop.
– Manage inventory planning across multiple distribution channels, including e-commerce (Shopify), social commerce platforms, and future channel expansions.
– Monitor inventory KPIs and report insights to leadership to support decision-making.
– Support product launches and ensure key SKUs stay in stock during high-demand periods.
– Identify opportunities to improve inventory management and planning systems.
What You Bring to the Table:
– 5+ years of experience in inventory planning, demand planning, or supply chain operations across Canada and U.S. markets.
– Experience in e-commerce or consumer brands, ideally with exposure to multiple sales environments (including Shopify and TikTok Shop).
– Proven experience planning or buying inventory across multiple markets, with a strong understanding of how demand patterns and customer behavior differ by region.
– Strong analytical skills and comfort working with data and forecasting models.
– Ability to spot trends and adjust plans proactively.
– Strong attention to detail, organization, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
– A collaborative approach, comfortable working across marketing, operations, and finance teams.
– Experience with Shopify-based businesses or multi-warehouse operations is an asset.
Don’t worry if you don’t meet everything listed above—we value growth and curiosity. If you have some of these strengths and you’re excited about this opportunity, we’d still like to hear from you!
