Job Description:
The 2026 Intern Program provides a valuable opportunity for rising 2026/2027 graduates to gain hands‑on experience in a mission-focused, innovative engineering environment. This paid, full-time internship runs for several months during the academic year, giving participants extended exposure to real-world hardware development and testing.

As a Hardware Test Engineering Intern, you will contribute across Mechanical, Electrical, and Software Engineering. You’ll collaborate with cross‑functional teams, work with state‑of‑the‑art aerospace technologies, and help develop and maintain systems that enable reliable hardware testing. Your contributions will directly support critical test infrastructure and may lead to future full-time opportunities after graduation.

What you’ll do:
• Design and assemble PCBAs, wiring harnesses, and electrical fixtures.
• Support the integration of electrical subsystems into test stands.
• Develop safety and monitoring systems, including PLC-based solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues in test hardware.
• Perform additional tasks as needed.

Required qualifications:
• Currently pursuing an undergraduate, graduate, or PhD degree, with graduation expected in December 2025 or Spring 2026.
• Majoring in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related STEM field.
• Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals relevant to your field.
• Hands‑on experience in a lab, production environment, or technical project setting.
• Proven ability to take ownership and deliver results.
• Track record of hard work, reliability, high standards, and professionalism.

Preferred qualifications:
• Experience using PCB schematic/layout software such as Altium, KiCad, or Eagle.
• Background in building wiring harnesses and assembling boards.
• Familiarity with test equipment like oscilloscopes, power supplies, and DAQs.
• Ability to adapt quickly, innovate under pressure, and meet evolving project requirements.

Compensation:
$40–$56 per hour
• Rising Bachelor’s graduate: $40/hour
• Rising Master’s graduate: $45/hour
• Rising PhD graduate: $56/hour
• Housing stipend available for eligible participants.

Intern Program Dates:
June 1 – August 7
OR
June 22 – August 28
You must be available to start on either June 1 or June 22.

Full-time regular employee package: pay within the listed range plus bonus, benefits, and equity.
Temporary employee package: pay within the range plus a temporary benefits package available after 60 days of employment.

Compensation is based on various factors, including skills, experience, certifications, and work location. All offers require a successful background check and may include a reference check.
