Join us as an Internal Auditor – Generalist/Compliance and help shape Qonto’s audit processes as one of the first members of our recently formed Internal Audit team. You will contribute to building a strong audit methodology while ensuring oversight of our compliance processes that serve 600,000 customers across Europe. As we scale toward serving one million SMEs by 2028, you will play a key role in setting audit standards and processes.
👩💻🧑💻 As an Internal Auditor – Generalist/Compliance at Qonto, you will
• Contribute to audit missions: Support and carry out generalist and compliance audit initiatives with the internal audit team and external partners to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements;
• Participate in centralised process audits: Join audit missions focused on centralised processes from our headquarters (fraud management, operational risks, etc.);
• Follow up on recommendations: Ensure audit recommendations are implemented on time and monitored;
• Assist with the annual risk assessment: Support the Head of Internal Audit in conducting the annual risk assessment across Qonto.

• What’s her background?
Catherine joined Qonto in March 2024 with more than 12 years of experience in banking, with a strong focus on retail and corporate banking and payment services. Over her career, she has held a wide range of roles across sales, internal audit, and risk management. At Qonto, she was brought in to build the company’s internal audit function, creating a solid foundation to support Qonto’s safe and sustainable growth.

Passionate about her work, Catherine brings a positive view of internal audit at Qonto, focused on continuous improvement and protecting the group’s interests. As an experienced leader, she will support you with care and guidance to help you succeed in your role and grow within Qonto.
🏅 About you
• Internal Audit experience in banking: Demonstrated experience with internal audit practices in the banking sector or payment institutions.
• Compliance expertise: Strong knowledge of financial compliance topics, including Anti-Money Laundering (AML), sanctions screening, FATCA/CRS reporting, Anti-Bribery and Corruption (ABC), and other regulatory compliance frameworks relevant to banking and payment institutions.
• Clear communication: Ability to communicate audit findings clearly to all audiences, from operational teams to senior management.
• Strong independence: Strong critical thinking skills to identify inefficiencies and discrepancies on your own. You confidently defend your viewpoints and can persuade others of your insights and recommendations.
• Languages: Fluent English required; French is a plus.
