Time zones: EST (UTC -5), CST (UTC -6), MST (UTC -7), PST (UTC -8)
* Upgrade a Rails 5 app to either Rails 6 or (ideally) Rails 7
* Upgrade the ActiveAdmin configuration and UI as needed
* Setup and manage a Digital Ocean droplet based on our current specs
* Handle any necessary devops chores/DNS configuration as needed
You should be familiar with the classic Rails stack and the ActiveAdmin gem, and be able to investigate the feasibility of upgrading a number of other gems as well.
It’s a small app, nothing crazy, but this project is mission critical so experience with Digital Ocean or similar VPS environments is a must.
This is a part-time gig. We generally pay $120/hr and expect this project to require 40-80 billable hours over the course of a month or maybe two.
