We are looking for an Infographics & Data Visualization Intern to join the Rocketgraph team.

As a Infographics and Data Visualization intern you will have a unique opportunity to define, design and execute on cloud powered infographics and data visualization content for Rocketgraph website based on collaboration with the data analysts and managers.

You will work on the design and creation of infographics, data dashboards/themes, data visualization multimedia and online interactives using information sources from a wide array of contributors, services & databases. Every project will be different and present a new opportunity to creatively depict and communicate data in visual form.

The challenge of course is that these visualizations won’t be static but powered by cloud data from a myriad of source APIs.

The ideal candidate should have strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team in a rapidly changing priorities landscape.

Qualifications • Some experience in infographics, design and interactive data visualization. • Examples of infographics, data visualization and other relevant work. • Knowledge of graphics and visualization tools. • Demonstrated ability to take complex information and translate it for use in graphic or interactive web pieces. • Familiarity with Data Visualization libraries/tools like D3.js, three.js, Highcharts, and more generally, SVG, HTML5 Canvas, WebGL, etc. • Ability to work in an ambiguous, dynamic, and often fast-paced environment. • Comfortable working in a collaborative / team-based approach. • Ability to lead cross-functional/business projects.

Based on experience, this can become a paid position.
