Status is a well-capitalized, young startup with a rapidly growing team and open source community.

We’re building an interface for the next generation of internet applications powered by blockchain and peer-to-peer technologies. We’re looking for someone who is excited by the impact blockchains will have upon society, and can plan, direct, and coordinate all human resource management and recruitment efforts.

While we are headquartered in Switzerland, we’re building unique organization and our existing 25 employees (predominantly engineers) are scattered all over the world. Our team deeply values the location independence to work remotely, flexible work hours, open source software, the movement for decentralisation, and the fast-paced nature of a startup working on an emerging technology.

Our ideal candidate will understand the nature of an open source organisation, the culture we’d like to foster, and preferably have experience with technical interviews. You will serve as a link between the organization’s management and its employees, but also the first point of contact for talented like-minded who share our ethos for building a decentralized internet.

The ideal candidate is an organized, analytical, problem-solver with the ability to prioritize and delegate tasks to ensure that daily HR operations are running effectively and efficiently, and enjoy working with a high degree of autonomy.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and make recommendations on employee recruitment, hiring, terminations, transfers, training and promotions.
  • Lead our recruitment efforts and help to sourcing new hires across a number of channels.
  • Conduct and organize interviews, and the creation of scorecards relevant to specific roles Status is hiring for.
  • Help design our company culture and ensure new team members identity with its nature.
  • Maintain employee information and work with our accountant to ensure timely payroll. Ensure effective HR communications and employee relations.
  • Record retention and management of both current and historical human resource records.
  • Conducts strategic planning on HR issues.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years experience of HR.
  • Some experience with technical interviews would be preferred, though not mandatory. Excellent listening and verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven track record of utilizing HR software and managing effectively (we use Greenhouse).
  • You identify with our culture and feel comfortable representing it.
  • An understanding that Status operates differently from the corporate world, and are excited by the challenges and benefits of a fully remote organisation.
  • Strong analytical skills.

Benefits:

  • Work remotely from anywhere in the world, or from our headquarters in Zug, Switzerland.
  • Work on an indisputably significant technology in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Uniquely poised to help shape the culture of a non-conventional, distributed team.
  • Flexible work hours, providing execution is strong.
