The People Operations Associate supports core People lifecycle processes through accurate transaction execution and administrative coordination. This role focuses on task-based execution, data integrity, and timely processing while supporting audit and documentation needs across the function.
Job Responsibilities
- Execute employee changes and contractor onboarding, offboarding, and extensions in Workday and related systems.
- Support FTE onboarding and offboarding processes under guidance from senior team members.
- Maintain employee data accuracy and perform assigned data validation checks.
- Execute assigned Workday testing scripts and document results.
- Support payroll preparation activities and flag discrepancies for review.
- Assist in preparing audit documentation and pulling requested records.
- Assist in creating, updating, and maintaining job aids and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Identify administrative process improvement opportunities and surface ideas to the team.
- Escalate discrepancies, policy-sensitive matters, or system concerns appropriately.
Job Qualification
- 1–2 years of relevant experience in Human Resources, Operations, or a related function.
- Experience working in an HRIS or similar system in a transactional or support capacity (e.g., Workday or comparable platforms).
- Familiarity with HR data accuracy, record-keeping standards, and basic compliance expectations.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data entry, review, and basic validation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and familiarity with standard documentation tools.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when processing data and transactions.
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to follow documented procedures, apply job aids, and escalate appropriately when issues require further
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment with multiple priorities
Preferred
- Familiarity with Workday HRIS concepts
- Experience working with ADP and/or Jira in a People Operations context
- Experience partnering with People Systems / HRIS, Payroll, Finance, or Legal
