Piton Labs is hiring a full-time Senior Software Engineer. We’re looking for someone who enjoys building end-to-end systems, with especially strong backend expertise. Cloud infrastructure experience is a plus. Startup experience—such as starting your own company or joining an early-stage team—is also valued. We strongly prefer candidates based between GMT-8 (US Pacific Time) and GMT-3, though we may consider other time zones case by case.

At Piton Labs, you’ll work with both startups and large organizations to tackle their most challenging technical problems. You’ll thrive in the uncertainty and complexity of software development, helping clients not only build products but also clarify what should be built. This role is more than just pulling tasks from a backlog—you’ll help set priorities and focus on delivering the most valuable solutions for our clients.

While we’re generally technology-agnostic, most projects use TypeScript, React, and Go. We typically build cloud infrastructure on AWS, though some clients use other providers. You should have at least five years of experience with mainstream web application stacks, relational databases, and modern frontend technologies. Experience with our specific tools is helpful but not required. You must be able to deliver reliable, well-tested code consistently over the long term.

A typical week may include:
• Building complex user interfaces for web or mobile applications
• Designing and developing a serverless API layer for a new product
• Creating and deploying cloud architecture using infrastructure-as-code tools
• Presenting new features to client stakeholders

You’re self-motivated and genuinely enjoy coding. You like solving problems and continuously expanding your technical skills. We value the following:

• Strong experience: at least five years in the field, with exposure to a range of projects and a commitment to ongoing improvement

Remote work policy:
• Fully remote team; no physical office
• Top priority for candidates with legal authorization to work in the United States
• Next priority for candidates in Canada, Uruguay, or Paraguay
• Must be available for 4–6 hours of overlap with US Eastern Time on most days
• Digital nomads are welcome, with flexibility in location
