CampusWorks is seeking Human Resources and Payroll Consultants to help higher education clients improve their HR operations. Assignments may be remote or onsite and could involve serving as an interim CHRO or HR Director, leading a Business Process Review, or enhancing an HRIS system. Ideal candidates will understand HR processes throughout the employment lifecycle, including position management, recruiting, hiring, onboarding, faculty credentialing and workload, adjunct administration, benefits, time and leave reporting, performance management, payroll, and reporting. Positions may be full-time or 1099 contract roles; please indicate your preference when applying.
CampusWorks consultants partner with higher education institutions to help them make the most of their people, policies, processes, and technology. Working with both client teams and CampusWorks colleagues, consultants assess current practices, design improved future processes, and develop, test, train, and implement solutions that exceed client expectations.
Responsibilities
• Acting as a Human Resources leader in higher education, providing daily direction to HR staff
• Overseeing and guiding HR and payroll projects and priorities
• Evaluating HR department effectiveness
• Creating and delivering training
• Advising clients on aligning policies, processes, procedures, and staffing to maximize HR and payroll systems
Requirements
• At least 5 years of senior-level HR experience in higher education
• Previous work in a college or university as a CHRO, VP or AVP of HR, HR Director, Payroll Director, or HR Business Analyst with ERP/CRM experience
• Familiarity with higher education ERP systems such as Ellucian Colleague, Banner, Jenzabar, or Workday
• Experience evaluating HR and payroll operations and recommending improvements, including policy updates and organizational structure changes
• Strong leadership skills, including facilitating diverse groups, building consensus, and guiding organizations through change and continuous improvement
• Excellent communication skills and a consultative approach when working with clients
