CSC Big Data and Analytics is a high priority incubator unit with in the Emerging Business Group with focus on helping our customers accelerate their path to innovation through the introduction of breakthrough analytic, big data platform and data science consulting capabilities. We are currently looking for a Hadoop Engineer to join our team.
What you will do:
Performance Engineer will be responsible for analyzing existing Hadoop systems/Applications, making recommendations to improve performance, and possible implementing those recommendations.
Responsibilities will also include analyzing planned usage patterns for a Hadoop cluster and developing a set of hardware specifications to support the usage.
Document solutions for long term support
Travel to client site as needed
Assist client support team with Performance related issue resolution
