America’s Test Kitchen is looking for an associate designer to join their digital design team. This is an entry-level position with plenty of room to learn and grow. The work will vary in content and medium from day to day. You will work alongside other teams in the digital department.

To be successful in this position, a candidate must have excellent communication skills; not only in creating designs that clearly communicate ideas, but also in presenting design choices with others.

Our team is made up of curious individuals who believe that a design has the most impact when the solution looks as good as it works, and we aren’t afraid to be challenged by teammates in order to get the best results.

We’re looking for: Creativity

• Strong understanding of design fundamentals
• A talent for turning abstract ideas into visual stories and solving tricky layout challenges
• A high degree of curiosity and play in design decisions

Communication

• Can work collaboratively with other designers and teams
• Strong Organizational skills (can handle several projects at once and seeks direction for priorities)
• Asks questions for understanding

Technical Skills

• Proficiency with Adobe XD, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign.
• Strong typography skills (understands the impact that type choices make on a design)

Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in art or design, or equivalent professional experience

Salary and compensation

$40,000 — $50,000/year
