Position Summary
The Director of Marketing will work to strengthen the capabilities of the global Azar marketing team. This role will collaborate closely with product marketing and cross‑functional partners to shape strategies, brand positioning, and overall branding for Azar. The director will provide stakeholders with insights derived from customer and competitive analysis and will play a key role in guiding Azar’s global marketing direction.
Responsibilities
• Develop the global marketing strategy to drive continued growth for the Azar brand.
• Establish brand positioning and lead campaigns that build the brand and support growth objectives.
• Oversee annual and quarterly marketing planning, including country‑level investment strategies, partnerships, and media strategy for the brand.
• Track marketing plan performance, evaluate market penetration and product positioning, and drive competitive advantage, revenue, and market share.
• Collaborate with the strategy team to conduct market research, monitor competitors, and identify customer needs.
• Work with the communications team to implement proactive PR initiatives.
• Uphold brand standards and ensure consistency across all marketing channels.
• Partner with cross‑functional teams throughout Hyperconnect and Match Group.
• Manage the marketing budget and external agencies or contractors.
• Build, lead, and mentor a high‑performing marketing team.
Requirements
• BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 10 years of experience across core marketing functions.
• At least 3 years of experience in app acquisition marketing.
• At least 3 years of leadership or team management experience.
• Strong strategic, analytical, communication, interpersonal, and problem‑solving abilities.
• High proficiency in both English and Korean.
