We are seeking an experienced QA Engineer to join our dynamic team at https://kyivstar.tech. In this role, you will take part in High load project CRM platform in telecom industry.

What you will do

• Analyze and clarify business and technical requirements
• Design test plans, test cases, and test strategies for backend services
• Perform functional, integration, and performance testing
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Java
• Set up test environments and work with mock services (e.g., MOCK-SERVER)
• Investigate issues using logs, traffic analyzers (Wireshark), and metrics tools (Grafana, Kibana)
• Collaborate with developers, DevOps, and analysts in an Agile environment
• Actively contribute to QA process improvements and automation frameworks

Qualifications and experience needed

• 3+ years of QA experience with a focus on backend testing
• Strong experience with API testing (e.g., Postman)
• Solid knowledge of SQL and experience working with relational databases
• Experience in Linux/Unix environments and confident use of command-line tools
• Good understanding of testing methodologies and client-server architecture
• Hands-on experience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI)
• Experience with test documentation: test plans, strategies, test cases, and bug reports
• Strong Java automation skills — ability to build test automation frameworks from scratch
• Intermediate or higher level of English (written and spoken)

A plus would be

• Experience with performance testing tools
• Familiarity with TCP/IP protocols and analyzing network traffic (e.g., using Wireshark)
• Prior experience with tools like Zephyr, Confluence, DBeaver
• Understanding of microservices architecture and communication patterns
