Our journey

Founded in 2017 by Alexandre and Steve , Qonto has grown to 1,600+ Qontoers serving over 600,000 customers across 8 European countries: France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Austria, Belgium, and the Netherlands. We have been profitable since 2023, and we are just getting started as we want to become the indisputable European leader in SME finance management.

Step into the role of General Accountant at Qonto and play a pivotal role in maintaining our financial integrity through diligent daily accounting operations and monthly closings.

You’ll be instrumental in ensuring our finance team operates smoothly and efficiently, directly contributing to our ongoing success and stability.

👩💻👨💻 As a General Accountant at Qonto, you will

• Execute daily accounting tasks with precision, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded.

• Take charge of monthly financial closings, collaborating closely with the team to maintain schedules and ensure compliance.

• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the finance department.

• Be a key player in ensuring financial data integrity, working on reconciliations (revenue, payroll, bank) and fiscal declarations (VAT, C3S, CVAE, TS, DAS2, …)

• Contribute to the team’s collective goal of maintaining a robust financial structure, ready for future challenges.

🤝 About your future manager

Your manager will be David, our Lead General Accountant at Qonto.

• His path? David has built a solid foundation in accounting and finance through his diverse career path. Before joining Qonto, he was a Senior Manager in Finance & Audit at Batt & Associés, managing a team and handling various financial operations. He started his professional journey at KPMG as a financial auditor, where he developed his expertise in auditing and financial risk analysis.

• What he can bring to the team? Leading a team of three, David leverages his extensive experience to guide and mentor his team effectively. His profound finance and accounting knowledge and leadership skills enable him to streamline financial processes and drive impactful results.

🏅 About You

• Experience: You have at least 4 to 5 years of professional experience, ideally in an audit or accounting firm, or in a structured company (experience in the banking industry is a plus).

• Education: You hold a Master’s degree in accounting or finance (DSCG, SCA, or equivalent).

• Technical Mastery: You are proficient in French accounting rules (FR GAAP) and have strong analytical skills.

• Mindset: You thrive in a collaborative environment and are keen on process improvement.

• Languages & Location: You have great communication skills in both English and French, and you are based in Paris or willing to relocate.
