We are partnering with Facebook’s Free Basics service (formerly known as https://connectivity.fb.com) to give refugee populations in countries across the world access to our family tracing service for free. Your role would be a cornerstone of our web touchpoint team: using your web development prowess (Flask in particular) to work with our product designers to make the site come to life, in a way that is highly localized for each user population we build for. The work you do will enable displaced people in places like Kenya, Nigeria, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iraq, and many others reconnect with missing family and friends. You’ll be creating localized web UIs for populations with vastly different mental models of technology than what you’re probably used to building for. You’ll solve really tough (and fascinating) technical/UX challenges.
