Want to help fight factory collapses, worker suicides, child labor and human trafficking by building fair and transparent supply chains around the world? You’ll be our 2nd engineer, building the next generation of a successful and innovative mobile telephony platform, aggregating anonymous feedback from factory and farm workers into a ‘TripAdvisor for Workers’—to help workers, brands and retailers find best-in-class workplaces. You’ll have an opportunity to build and deploy audio, SMS and web interfaces for international factory workers, multinational brands and retailers, and local labor organizations, for a fast-growing social enterprise tackling some of the world’s most challenging problems.
As our Full Stack Rails Developer, you will help build out the next generation of our innovative technology platform for surveying workers via their mobile phones (using Interactive Voice Response technology and other channels), conducting statistical analysis on supply chain data, generating reports and web-based dashboards for our clients, and serving insights back to our users. If you consider yourself a generalist, with an excellent math background, who learns fast, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants a leadership role and a significant piece of a young, small, profitable startup, read on.
