About Nexleaf At Nexleaf Analytics, we use sensors and real-time data to help find what global public health interventions work and fix what doesn’t. Partnering with leading institutions such asQualcomm, Vodafone Americas Foundation, https://www.google.org, and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Nexleaf helps deliver safe vaccines to over 6 million children and connect 1,000 rural homes with mobile money payments for reducing carbon emissions through cleaner cooking in 7 countries, including India, Mozambique, and Kenya.

Our wireless sensor devices use the cellular network to send temperature data from vaccine storage refrigerators and improved cookstoves to our cloud-based web dashboard, where our clients (governments, health care workers, and NGOs) access metrics, data analytics, and reports. We help our partners analyze data to drive change and achievesustainable, large-scale public health and environmental interventions.

About the Position We have a small team at Nexleaf, and we work together to define priorities and plan implementations. Any new addition to the team will play a critical role in helping achieve scale and impact.We do a lot of iteration on software features with our staff and customers before bringing them into production. This job will cover the whole cycle of implementing new features, revising existing features, thorough testing, and production deployment.

The major responsibilities of the position include:

• Programming the frontend and backend (full stack) of our web service and analytics platform, using Python, Django, Python-RQ, MongoDB, HTML, JavaScript, CSS and other related languages and tools.

• Work on new features and enhancements to the system.

• Developing the API access to the data and reports available in our system.

• Rework existing data models and storage strategies for efficiency and speed.

• Evaluation and implementation of strategies to scale our services to support tens of thousands of sensors.

• Grow to a position of architecting and owning major components in the system.
