About MyOnlineSchool MyOnlineSchool is a high growth, high potential edtech startup with two award winning sites trading already https://www.learningwithexperts.com/gardening and https://www.learningwithexperts.com/photography. We have just closed our first round of funding with Leaf Investments (edtech specialists), Howzat Partners (Allstar Investor Winners and Trivago investors), and a group of angel investors with experience from bluechip internet and publishing companies. We are now looking for a high energy, innovative CTO to join the founders and core team at this exciting time who can scale with the business for the next stage of our growth. MyOnlineSchool is a group of virtual schools, offering online courses to passionate amateurs & professionals. Small classes of students take courses online given by world experts. Students receive personal feedback & critiqued assignments from tutors, course e-books, & interact with peers in supported classroom communities. MyOnlineSchool is a bespoke classroom built using a standard PHP/MySQL stack running on an optimised Nginx platform. Being PHP based allows for deployment on a variety of platforms.
The classroom is connected to a marketing site built using WordPress. This allows complete freedom for marketing to advertise courses, but with the added benefit of being able to consume class data.
Job description User experience and scaling globally is everything. We are looking for a visionary CTO to lead our core development in-house, work with our founders and lead our outsourced development and design teams. We care about clean code, world class quality user experience and best practices.
