The software developed at UMS mainly provides benefit to our in-house call center, including tools that assist with communication, and data processing/analysis. We are continually expanding our software offerings to include services that are used directly by library staff and patrons.

Things you’ll work on

  • Architect and implement scalable web services
  • Improve on applications utilized by our internal staff
  • Help refine DevOps practices
  • Migrate Applications to AWS

About You

  • 2+ years as a FullStack developer with experience designing web apps from the ground up, or equivalent experience
  • Strong skills with an Object Oriented Language, preferably C#
  • Experience using a Modern Front End Framework
  • Familiarity with Javascript and its asynchronous nature
  • Experience writing semantic HTML and clean CSS
  • Proponent of Unit Testing
  • Understands the release life-cycle: source control, software builds, and continuous integration
  • Experience designing relational databases, writing efficient queries, and using an ORM
  • Comfortable with both implementing and consuming REST APIs
  • Ability to work in a small, fast paced team
  • Self Motivated with the strong communication skills needed for a remote position
