Job Description
BYU Pathway and BYU Idaho online courses use both instructors and graders. Instructors manage teaching and course delivery, while graders support learning by reviewing assignments and giving meaningful feedback. We are looking for graders (support staff) who can apply their skills and subject knowledge to evaluate student work, provide feedback, assist learning, and coordinate with instructors.

Important: This is a part-time remote position with a flexible schedule of about 10–12 hours per week, though weekly hours may vary.

Course Description
Grading support (using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS) is needed for:

• WDD 130 – Web Fundamentals
• WDD 131 – Dynamic Web Fundamentals
• WDD 231 – Web Frontend Development I
• WDD 330 – Web Frontend Development II

These courses teach essential web design and development concepts that prepare students for roles on web development teams.

CES Dress and Grooming Expectations
All online instructors and graders supporting BYU-Pathway Worldwide agree to follow the CES Honor Code as representatives, mentors, and leaders.

Employees model appropriate choices for students while understanding that student and employee expectations differ. Employees follow a higher standard for dress and grooming.

Employee attire should reflect professionalism suited to their role and setting. Clothing should:
• Be modest in fit and style, using temple garment coverage as a general guideline, regardless of endowment status (with exceptions for athletics).
• Be neat and clean; overly casual, messy, torn, or extreme clothing is not acceptable.

Grooming standards include:
• Hair that is clean, neat, modest, and avoids extreme styles or colors.
• Men should keep hair neatly trimmed and be clean-shaven; mustaches, if worn, must be neatly groomed.

Responsibilities
• Use university guidelines and materials to assess student work (including rubrics and feedback templates).
• Give feedback that is clear, useful, timely, and accurate.
• Address student questions and concerns about scores.
• Work with supervisors to resolve grading issues quickly.
• Attend training sessions for instruction and feedback.
• Apply feedback from training and quality reviews to improve performance.
• Perform additional academic support duties as assigned.
