We’re looking for a self-motivated front-end developer focused on quality and performance to help us enhance a world-class website where the customer experience is the top priority.

Kyero’s story

Kyero helps people around the world find their sunshine. We make it easier for international property buyers to turn their dreams into reality.

Many of us have moved countries, so we understand the joy of finding a place to call home. We also know the highs and lows involved in making that happen. Our founders, Louise and Martin, created Kyero after learning lessons from buying land in their favorite part of Spain. They used those experiences to build a company dedicated to helping people move from dreaming about sunshine to living it.

We’re a fully remote international team of 40 people across seven countries. We combine Marketing, Sales, Customer Services, Design, Development, Data, Finance, and Admin—and we’re all truly passionate about Kyero’s vision and mission.

What you’ll bring

Your experience
– You’re passionate about Frontend Development, and ideally have some Fullstack experience building websites.
– You’re very comfortable with CSS and understand semantic HTML.
– You know how to style using approaches such as BEM, understand the DOM model, and can manipulate it with JavaScript.
– Writing in ES6 is essential, and TypeScript experience is a big plus.
– You have experience with frontend frameworks (especially NodeJS and Remix).
– You understand the request/response lifecycle.
– You’re eager to learn and stay current with frontend developments and technologies.
– You write test-driven code, and you understand that pairing and code reviews support correctness, quality, and shared knowledge.
– You’re confident and productive working 100% remotely.

Your main responsibilities
– Initially, you’ll work closely with our senior frontend developer to understand our codebase and build experience.
– You’ll be responsible for HTML/CSS updates and introducing new front-end features.
– You’ll help build new applications using Remix.
– You’ll write code in TypeScript and continue developing your skills.

website, applying styling updates with Tailwind CSS while getting familiar with our broader codebase.

*Kyero.com is a Ruby on Rails application using a fairly standard technology stack, including PostgreSQL, Redis, RabbitMQ, and ElasticSearch. We use Docker to run everything and work with additional content management systems, including Strapi and Laravel.*

– You live in Europe in a time zone between UTC-1 and UTC+3.
– You’re a team player—you know when to ask for help and how to support others. You listen and treat colleagues with respect.

Required skills
– 2+ years of commercial frontend development experience
– Proficiency with GIT
– Semantic HTML5
– SCSS and CSS experience (methodologies and writing clean CSS)
– Solid ES6 JavaScript fundamentals (TypeScript is a bonus)
– Understanding of the DOM and its API
– A genuine drive to grow as a developer
