Chute is looking to build long-term relationships with self-directed, deadline-driven freelance developers to handle capacity fluctuations in the newly formed Studio department. Projects are 2 to 6 weeks in duration and generally take between 20 to 80 hours of development time to complete.

Projects are generally campaign-based microsites for Fortune 500 companies leveraging Chute’s core technology. We will provide training on Chute technology and access to our developers for questions or additional training. We expect you to bring mad skills in front-end development and a flexible, dedicated attitude.

You will work with the Project Manager to understand the project requirements, the Lead Developer to understand how the project fits into the larger development plan, and the PM on a daily basis to track your status. We will ask for guaranteed turn-around times for bug fixes both prior to client delivery and after.

Required Skills and Experience: – Proven track record of front-end development including Javascript and PHP. Rails experience a plus. – Strong experience leveraging APIs. – Experience with client-facing projects, either as a freelancer or in an agency environment. – Superior time management and communication skills. – Attention to detail and the ability to think through how those details will play in other contexts. – Generally fun, positive outlook – we’re pretty cool and would really dig it if you were, too.

Salary and compensation
