Grist is looking for a front-end Web developer with WordPress theme development experience to join our product team. We’re looking fora candidate withstrong skills in CSS and javascript that cares about the design of media sites and wants to help create a great experience for ouraudience.

Daily, you will work in close collaboration with designers and developers in a daily scrum to develop our custom WordPress theme to improve our site’s UI with a focus on creating a great user experience. You’ll keep us sharp by learning and employing best-practices of your field.
Ideally you are experienced with responsive design techniques and have a deep appreciation of the challenges in developing and designing for mobile audiences. You’re wellversed in CSS theory as well as practice, and conversant about modern workflows and Web design philosophies.
This is a full-time salaried position with good benefits. Our team is located in downtown Seattle. We strongly prefer local candidates who can work with us in person, but we are open to the possibility of remote team members who show the requisite experience.
