What’s the opportunity?
As Fraud Analyst III – Tactics, you will lead and define the fraud prevention strategy for complex industries and key global merchants. You will own the decision-making process for our most difficult cases, optimizing the balance between reducing risk (including chargebacks), protecting user experience, and driving business growth. You will connect data insights to commercial goals, help shape an AI-first culture, and identify ways to make fraud prevention a revenue-enabling function.
What will I be doing?
– Lead the discovery of complex fraud patterns through proactive data analysis, spotting emerging threats before they impact the business.
– Create and standardize strategic rules and automated frameworks that can scale across industries and teams.
– Mentor junior and mid-level analysts, serving as a technical reference and promoting continuous learning and excellence.
– Collaborate with Data Science to improve machine learning models, proposing new features and optimizing scoring thresholds.
– Own KPIs for major industries, balancing fraud targets with conversion and revenue goals, and delivering clear “data stories” to senior stakeholders.
– Drive automation and AI initiatives by exploring new tools (such as AI agents or LLMs) to reduce manual review and increase the team’s operational speed.
What skills do I need?
– Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field.
– 3–5+ years of experience in fraud prevention, risk management, or high-scale data-driven roles.
– Strong experience with large databases; SQL is required.
– Knowledge of Python or a similar data-focused language is a plus.
– An automation and AI mindset: genuinely curious and eager to explore new technologies (LLMs, automated agents, or workflow tools) to solve traditional fraud challenges and improve efficiency.
– Experience with data management tools such as AWS Athena, Sagemaker, or Quicksight is a bonus.
– Strategic communication skills: ability to translate complex data findings into clear, practical business recommendations for diverse audiences.
– Proactive leadership, teamwork, and a natural problem-solver who enjoys experimenting with new ways of working.
– Fluent written and spoken English.
