In Plaid’s Fintech customer segment, the Account Management team uses deep technical, product, and industry expertise to help fintech-focused customers build and scale outstanding applications. We serve as partners, advisors, and advocates to shape how consumers and businesses interact with their finances—so those interactions improve significantly in the years ahead.

Plaid is looking for an experienced, customer-facing professional to manage and grow client relationships across a portfolio of the most strategic customers in our fintech segment. Many of these customers are long-term partners and already contribute substantial revenue to Plaid. The account manager will be responsible for strengthening these relationships further and driving the next phase of growth with these clients.

The ideal candidate is naturally skilled at building strong partnerships and has proven success owning and growing relationships with large, strategic clients—developing a deep understanding of customer priorities, motivations, and key drivers; building and expanding senior stakeholder relationships; and leveraging both internal and cross-functional collaboration to deliver solutions for customers. They are highly curious, solutions-focused, and energized by helping customers succeed.

You will be the primary point of contact for your customers, supporting them through every stage of integration, scaling, product expansion, and ongoing partnership management. You will work closely with key stakeholders—from developers to executives—to help them create applications that empower both businesses and consumers with access to financial data.

**Responsibilities**
– Own the overall relationship with your portfolio of customers in Plaid’s fastest-growing segment.
– Build relationships with C-suite and Product teams to grow and retain revenue.
– Own revenue goals, including identifying and closing new upsell opportunities and leading negotiations for contract renewals.
– Support customers in integrating with and launching on Plaid.
– Address complex customer challenges through creative problem-solving in partnership with Sales, Risk, Legal, Finance, Commercial, Marketing, and Business Operations.

**Qualifications**
– 6+ years of quota-carrying software or technology account management experience.
– Proven experience in account management and sales.
– Customer empathy and a strong desire to help customers succeed.
– Willingness to go deep technically and ability to learn the ins and outs of Plaid’s APIs.
– Interest in financial services and technical products, with strong intellectual curiosity.
– Excitement to work in a fast-growing, constantly evolving environment and help build processes and tools as needed.
– Ability to work with people of all types and build long-lasting relationships.

$130,560–$163,200 per year

The target base salary range for this role is $130,560 to $163,200 per year in San Francisco and New York. This full-time base salary range does not include commission, equity, or benefits. The range stated for each job posting represents the minimum and maximum target for new-hire salaries. Actual pay may be higher or lower depending on factors such as skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Additional compensation in the form of equity and/or commission depends on the role offered. Plaid provides a comprehensive benefits plan, including medical, dental, vision, and a 401(k). Pay is determined based on factors such as the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s experience and skill set, and location. Pay and benefits may change at any time in line with applicable compensation or benefit plans.
