Floom is looking for an experienced Finance Manager / Financial Controller to help us manage all aspects of the finance and compliance for this fast growing, international business. You will be responsible for establishing and embedding standard practices and procedures across the finance function, with significant opportunity to influence and implement new ideas and initiatives. In addition, you will be accountable for:

About you:

• Proven experience as a Financial Controller or relevant role.
• A strategic mind with deep commercial experience in an invest to grow environment
• Excellent communication and influencing skills with teams
• Experience in high growth consumer and SaaS companies
• Expert knowledge of data analysis, models and forecasting methods
• Professional qualification in accounting/tax/finance by a recognised professional body

• Cashflow management
• Prepare and examine monthly and annual financial statements and reports
• Maintenance of balance sheets
• Writing SQL queries to better internal process
• Owning business as usual finance functions, including accounting, budgeting, inter-company consolidations, forecasting, reporting, audit, accounts payable / receivable, payroll and insurance. Some elements of the HR function will also fall under this role while the company grows.
• Ensuring compliance with national and local regulatory and reporting requirements by performing research and understanding various filing requirements, working in tandem with our external advisors
• Continue to establish, maintain and enforce internal controls and supporting processes

Requirements

Education

• Must be CPA Qualified
• You have the right to work in the USA

Experience

• 3-5 years experience in a relevant field
• Extensive knowledge of accounting practices and financial controls
• Excellent analytical, communications and presentation skills, both written and oral
• First-rate analytical skills, with the ability to present findings to people across departments
• Experience with both the UK and US tax and accounting obligations
• Experience using Xero, Avalara and working with Marketplace platforms
