Remote Financial Analyst Role Summary

The Financial Analyst is essential in guiding data-driven decisions and supporting the organization’s overall financial stability. This role involves examining financial information, preparing reports, and delivering insights that strengthen strategic decision-making. The Financial Analyst will collaborate closely with the Controller and teams across the organization to assess performance, create budgets and forecasts, and ensure consistency with company objectives.

Responsibilities
• Create, track, and report key performance indicators to assess business performance, including customer and service line metrics, and highlight risks or opportunities.
• Perform variance analysis comparing actual results to forecasts, budgets, and prior periods, and provide explanations and improvement recommendations.
• Analyze financial and customer-related revenue and profitability trends, offering insights and recommendations to support decisions such as pricing.
• Work with the Controller and department leaders to prepare annual budgets, routine forecasts, and financial statements, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Assist the CFO and Controller in developing detailed financial analyses and effectively presenting findings to executive leadership and other stakeholders.
• Recommend and implement process enhancements to improve financial and customer profitability analysis.
• Conduct ad hoc financial analyses and support the creation of financial models.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned.

Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field.
• At least 3–5 years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or a comparable role.
• Strong skills in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting, with experience improving processes and systems.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, financial modeling, Power BI or similar BI tools, and database analysis; experience with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365/Business Central is a plus.
• Ability to develop data visualizations for reporting.
• Strong analytical abilities and knowledge of financial statements and accounting principles.
• High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and completeness.
• Proactive, innovative problem-solver comfortable working through ambiguity and applying creative solutions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and explain financial insights to non-financial audiences.
