CampusWorks is seeking Financial Aid Consultants to help higher education institutions improve their financial aid operations and enhance the student experience. These consultants will use their financial aid expertise to guide clients in implementing best practices and fully utilizing technology to support their goals. Assignments may be remote or on-site and can involve serving as an interim Financial Aid Director, leading a Business Process Review, or optimizing the institution’s financial aid systems.

In this role, you will collaborate with clients to streamline financial aid processes, ensure compliance, train new users, and help institutions make full use of their financial aid ERP systems. Positions may be full-time or contract (1099); please indicate your preference when applying.

CampusWorks consultants work closely with higher education clients to help them maximize their people, processes, policies, and technologies. By partnering with both functional and technical teams, as well as fellow CampusWorks professionals, consultants assess current operations, design improved future-state processes, and develop, test, train, and implement solutions that meet clients’ needs. Some travel and a hybrid work arrangement may be required.

Responsibilities include:
• Serving as Interim Financial Aid Director and providing daily leadership to financial aid staff
• Overseeing and guiding current financial aid initiatives and priorities
• Evaluating the effectiveness of financial aid and student accounts operations
• Advising higher education clients on a range of financial aid topics and challenges
• Assisting clients with financial aid regulatory issues
• Creating and delivering training programs
• Helping clients align policies, procedures, processes, and staff roles to better support financial aid operations

Requirements include:
• Proven ability to lead organizational change and drive full adoption of technology
• At least 5 years of comprehensive experience in college financial aid, including expertise in Title IV programs and regulatory compliance
• Experience as a Director, Associate Director, or Assistant Director in a college or university financial aid office
• Hands-on experience with advanced financial aid management systems and ERP software, including configuration and end‑user training
• Strong leadership skills, including facilitating diverse groups, building consensus, and leading ongoing improvement efforts
• Experience reviewing financial aid processes and operations, recommending policy changes, and realigning staffing and responsibilities
• Excellent communication skills and a consultative approach with clients
