Sayfe – Secure Private Messenger is our secure ephemeral messaging app available on iOS and Android stores. The backend uses a slightly modified XMPP based server cluster. As our number of users grows, we are looking to stress test our infrastructure in a bit more formal and detailed way. We are looking to simulate several hundred thousands users connecting to our infrastructure and sending various different kinds of messages. The test environment is to be Escalus/AMOC based. This contract position involves the following responsibilities:

• Develop stress tests in Erlang / Escalus / AMOC to test XMPP servers

• Implement registrations, connections, and message transfers from several hundred thousand users using theslightly modified XMPP protocol that our app uses

• Validate the stress tests, and present performance bench-marking results

• Continue the test cycles with newerfeaturesof the protocol

Comments: This could be a long term contract, part time or full time, for the right candidate. Contract may be changed to full time position if mutually convenient.
