A Data Entry Clerk is responsible for entering data and updating existing information in digital databases. Their tasks include transferring data from paper documents into digital spreadsheets, updating customer order statuses, and double-checking their work to ensure accuracy.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain confidentiality of information
- Review data for missing information or errors, correct any issues when possible, and verify the final output
- Research and gather additional information for incomplete documents
- Use data-entry tools, techniques, and procedures
- Create reports, save completed work in the assigned locations, and perform backup operations
- Scan documents and print files when needed
Requirements:
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Strong computer skills
- Basic knowledge of touch typing systems and database management tools
- Ability to enter data quickly and accurately
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to think analytically
- Experience in a Data Entry Clerk role is a plus
