As an entry-level Business Development Representative at Lightcast, you will help create new business opportunities and support the development of a top-tier sales development team at a leading tech company. Serving as the link between marketing and sales, you will transition inbound marketing leads into sales opportunities and help build new pipeline through outbound outreach.
Major Responsibilities:
• Generate interest in Lightcast’s products by reaching out to potential customers through cold calls, emails, and other communication channels.
• Follow up with inbound marketing leads, move them through the sales process, and set up discovery calls for Account Executives.
• Build relationships with prospects to identify challenges, assess their level of interest, and ensure a smooth transition to the sales team.
• Offer constructive feedback to improve the performance and efficiency of the BDR team and the broader sales process.
• Monitor and report on important metrics, achievements, and insights from daily outbound efforts.
• Work with cross-functional teams to collect and share best practices for outreach and messaging.
Education and Experience:
• 0–1 year of professional experience in sales, marketing, business development, or a related area.
• Experience with tools like Salesforce, HubSpot, ZoomInfo, Apollo, or other CRM and prospecting platforms is a strong plus.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities, with proven skill in writing, speaking, and active listening.
• A proactive mindset with a desire to support the growth and improvement of the BDR team.
• A self-motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced, rapidly growing environment.
• Quick learner who adapts easily to new challenges and is committed to continuous improvement.
• A bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or a similar field is preferred but not required.
