What we do
Our Business Applications team is different than most engineering groups. We own all of New Relic’s internal business applications. Our apps are the behind-the-scenes technology and data our business leaders need to help make better decisions, run frictionless operations, and to keep up with the demand for our market-leading software analytics products.
Our team covers a diverse set of technology and span everything from custom business services running inside our core features to external services that run in our internal cloud to the operations required to keep our entire SaaS infrastructure humming along. We work in an agile environment with a strong emphasis on quality development processes. We’re even responsible for the operation of the code we build – welcome to the SaaS world!
Your role
You’ll lead a team, likely two. You’ll be accountable to a business stakeholder. Or two. Or more. But, you won’t do the work of leadership alone. Software development at New Relic is a team sport. You’ll have plenty of partners to help you succeed with specific projects, including fellow Business Applications managers, and managers and directors from other engineering teams. You’ll also have peer groups to discuss ongoing and more general topics of managing engineers at New Relic.
You’ll grow and manage your engineers and organize them to achieve great results. You’ll work with product managers to scope deliverables. You’ll also team with the product managers and business stakeholders to build a roadmap that maximizes returns for New Relic’s business. Along the way, you’ll bring your creativity and innovation to bear on any problems you encounter.
