We are looking for a talented engineer who will build, influence, lead, and inspire a team that loves to create solutions that customers love to use. We have a terrifying and wildly exciting task ahead of us: transform a best-in-class enterprise financial system for higher ed from customizable to configurable, monolithic to modular, bloated to concise, complex to simple, difficult to delightful, manually to automatically tested. Our stack is Nodejs and MySQL/Oracle. We are supporting the legacy Java product as we evolve, and the ideal candidate will be able to operate in both worlds to maintain balance on the team. Our team is fully distributed across the continental United States. The ideal candidate will have at least a year of experience telecommuting and know that they are happy and productive doing so. Youll be responsible for

• Leading and growing a team of engineers committed to building top-quality enterprise financial products for higher education institutions
• Partnering closely with the product & design team to help imagine, define and realize our product vision
• Driving an excellent customer experience, continually raising the bar on functionality, usability, and simplicity
• Championing engineering and operational excellence, establishing metrics and processes for planning, delivery, regular assessment and improvement
• Ensuring our products are stable, secure, performant and up to date with the latest technology trends and best practices
• Providing technical leadership, vision, and guidance to both your team members and your peers
• Setting clear expectations and creating a positive work environment based on accountability, in collaboration with the engineering and management teams
